Ok I have a 2 door grand am gt (lil car). I'm pushing 2 Solo X 10's in a ported spl box with roughly 2.75 cu in of internal volume for each sub with a kicker kx2500.1, all 1/0 gauge, an optima yellow top in the trunk, and a 200 amp alternator under the hood. My back seats fold down so I have the subs facing the back of my skull while I'm driving, so the 2 ports have room to breath!
Theres an inch or two of space between the box and perimeter of the trunk. Does anyone think sealing that off with lets say dynomat or some type barrier material to block any air movement from the trunk to the cabin or vice versa would increase spl? Since the subs are facing the back of my skull. Does anyone think with the box being L=27'', W=34'', H=14'' sealing the trunk with dynomat gonna add a few decibels or make me lose some? Any opinions or ideas would be appreciated!
