Hi, I wanted to do kind of a cross between a 3 way and 4 way component system in my car.
I have a clk500 and it really only has 1 center channel speaker on the dash and both the front and the rear speakers are in the door and the tweeter is in the door at the top close to the side mirror. Anyway what I wanted to do is for rear fill go with some 6.5" midbass in the back of the door then use a 6.5" midrange in the front possible the focal audiom or something around that range speaker. Then change the tweeter in the door but leave it in its factory location. I am using a smaller midrange 4" and a tweeter in the dash for the center channel but I wanted to just add a little more to even out the gap. I was thinking about using 2 dome midrange on the dash one close to each tweeter in the door just to even it out a little. I do not have room for kicks because it is a fairly small car and I am 6'3". Any thoughts? I am not sure if I need the dome midranges or not but just an idea. I know it can be a pain to make it image right if you have 2 speakers playing the same frequency coming from different locations but I was hoping using the domes would be enough different that I would not have that issue
