sorry so long but is it a good idea? I have an design for a freinds 78 Monte Carlo that we stripped the a/c and heating system out of. I was going to hide a 450/4 and 1000/1 behind the dash that would be running two 13w6's fiberglassed into the sides of the rear seat(the trunk is full of batteries and pumps for the cars hydrolics). Last night I got the idea for the 3/8's in the dash; they would be firing down at the floor from the center of the dash to in fron of the passenger and Id use 3/4" mdf on the firewall side, top, and bottom and use multiple layers of fiberglass to make a mold of the rear of the dash(powered by the 1000/1). I would bolt the finished enclosure to the firewall in a few places and install the dash over it to make it all stealth. Do you think it will be strong enough to take the abuse of the hydrolics? The cars a hopper and the front wheels should bounce upwards of 60+inches into the air. what about the amount of bass compared to the two 13w6's? should I reinforce the mhf with kitty hair or somethin since thats all thats going to be conected to the car?

60 inches I think the box falling out is the least of your worries. I say if its bolted it will work. It will sound pretty good with the subs infront of you I would imagine. I think It may be louder with the 2 13w7 ported in the back of the car though.
