i have a 95 chrysler sebring and removed the rear seats cut out a little sheet metal for a box that sticks its nose out about even where the back of the rear seats were. last year in db drags i was hitting 147.4 with two sw9152 15"s eclipse titanium's in a ported box with a DA7232 eclipse amp rated at around 1,000 watts per channel at 2ohms. i am thinking of building a wall and moving the subs forward more for a higher spl #. how far forward should i move the wall to achieve a higher spl? should i leave a foot or two between the wall and the back of the drivers seat, or put it closer? will building this wall even give me a higher spl #? any advice on this is welcome.

yes my front seats can tilt way forward, and that actually helped me get a higher # on the termlab last year with the mic at the drivers side kickpanel, windows up and passenger door open about 18"s

move the baffle as far forward as possible without anything protruding in front of the B pillar( wood, subs, etc.)

If your gonna be driving it around daily I would recommend moving the wall back a little bit for comfort so your not scrunched up while driving.

Hope that helps.

any ideas for getting the highest spl's from the equipment i have already would be great. also, does any one have an idea of the db gain i would get by building the wall above my previous 147.4 without the wall?
