I didn't say anything about what you run. I said "Tell us more." Specifically about the PHD20000. Like what the claimed specs are.

i ended up not geting the 10,000 now im glad i didi not, they wanted 300 bux to up grade me but i can sell this amp on ebay & buy the 10,000 d for 200 more so it was kinda of a waste to drop 300 so i said **** it..

well they say on about 1200 rms it depends on your load i have ran the 5000 on 2 12" subzeros many of times even at 1ohm had no problem now if you do a 10hz drop you will blow sub i think you should tune your box so you dont roast sub. also on my subzeros i had Joseph Make my Subzeros with No Mesh Around Sub heres pic...

i tuned to spec's of the sub ( my box is 100% like EQ calls for ) the first time i blow the thing was in my house on a amp thats made by EQ the pro 800 witch says 1100 rms @ 4 ohm's, i was running it at 8 witch was more like 800 rms and smoked it...
then i droped it in my car @ 8 ohms thinking droping it too 2 would be @much ( even know carlos said it would be fine ( carlos is my dealers rep ) i played it for about 3 songs ( not very loud to try n brake it in next thing i know im smelling voice coli.... so i shut it down pop the trunk and theres smoke coming out my port & the red light is on on the amp ( thirml ) next i here the amp starting ti sizzel and smoke out of it...... & the remolt wire was not even on....

o well im gonna try n run it one more time see what happens.... but im not very happy i have spent 2grand & listen to less then 5 mins of play & missed the show last week becuz there back ordered on voice coil's for the sub.... ( wonder why?)
its post to behere today so im waiting for a phone call..... im even going as far as to PAY my dealer shop to look over my wire job & mount the sub/amp just so they cant pull there classic "to low of voltage" as they did on there phd2000 that i all so owned @ one time...

10,000 rms? That's all? pthhhhhb!!!!!! You need to check your sources. If I land this DOT gig, I'll tell you all about them... like what 4 of them will do to a pair of dvc .6 ohm Brahma APXX's.... Oh Yeah!!! Can you smell those coils cooking already?

On the EQ subs. Faggitaboutit. I told you a page or two ago, the amps are solid power for the money, but the subs leave something to be desired. You can get the PHD10,000s for a bit over 400 each. No BS. Basically, the main difference is that you can strap the D10 where you can not strap the D5. Claimed power output is the same. From what I understand, high voltage and low impedance handling are the same.

It's nice staying with all of one manufacturer for your equipment, cuz it's all pretty and stuff. But my opinion is to always buy what works. Keep the D5 amp, and look at either a DD95/99 or Atomic APXX sub. You can get the APXX at a pretty nice competitor price too. You can also save a hundred bucks and buy a used 9500 series sub for about 300+shipping. If you are hardcore, be prepared to spend twice as much to buy a 9900 series. Fortunately the DD subs are unbreakable. Like plug it into a light socket for 8 minutes, unplug it, drop it back into your box, and go bumping off into the sunset type of unbreakable. 8 minutes on house current will basically break the sub in... where as 8 seconds on house current would basically break any "normal" sub.

I'm expecting my adire/atomic hybrids back by the end of this week. I'll let you know how they hold the power. XBL2 triplestack motor with the new apxx coil and soft parts. I can't wait.

One thing of note on EQ issues, is the amps come with a 5 year warranty if installed by a dealer. If installed by you or me, it's only 30 or 60 days. That part is fugging lame.

Seriously, if your in Cali, Atomic is in Oxnard, and the owner or his wife normally answer the phone. Stop BSing around and get what works... There's a reason people over in europe use EQ amps and either DD subs or Atomic subs to set world records.

Thats About What EQ Said About phd20,000 i wont know any realistic specs for a few more weeks . it would think it would do like the 5000 does at 1ohm or less meaning double the power the 10,000rms may be at 2ohm.

Thanks for the info MM. I'm not giving you a hard time or anything. Just trying to confirm some rumors.

I've heard that some people have pre-production models in hand right now. They're testing to see if it will do 16-17-18v. Whether it's good for .7-.5-.35-.25-.125 ohm stable. Whether it is comparable to the Collossus, or whether it will annhilate it. From what I understand, it's still got a pretty reasonable footprint, compared to the big Anaba amps and the Fusion 4000D. Should be the same width and height as that D5 you showed, but about 9 inches longer. Price is not set yet, but the projections put it right up there with the best dollar per watt once again...

Btw, I didn't mention it before, but that quad-slotted monster you call a box is nice. I know how mdf soaks up paint, and to get a finish that good took some skills, and lotsa primer.

WHAT???????

Fadhi was blowing smoke up your rectum. The chassis isn't physically large enough to fit Four D10s... It's the same width and height as the current D10, but about 9 inchs longer... That's not 4 D10s in one case.

I like EQ as much as anyone else, but I'm not buying 20kwrms at 4 ohms...
