My 17 year old son is trying to put together a new system for his F-350 Crew Cab. We could use some help with the Subwoofers, he would like to install 2-12" JL audio's in a sealed box and I suggested he would get better overall sound performance from 1-12" in a vented box. Either way he was thinking of using a JL Audio 500/1 watt amp. He's convinced that he needs to buy the amp and speakers from the same manufacturer. He figured Xr 650 csi's in the front doors and Xr 570 csi's in the rear doors. Given that I'm "Old and Not up to speed" it might help if some one with recient experience could offer some advice.

Thanks
