i was talking to a friend about his system options and told him to get a 5 channel amp. are these amps as good or are they worse. are they good for the money

I run a Nakamichi PA-506, 6channel amp. It's rated at 50X6. Cost about 850.00 retail I think. Compared to buying 3 50x2 amps, crossover, and processor, it is a hell of a deal. Some will say that a multichannel amps power supply is not beefy enough to run all the channels to max output, but, if you buy a high quality amplifier, you should have no problems at all.

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...

Big time nod to Audiophyle. If you buy quality you won't go wrong, even with 5 and 6 channel beasties. I wouldn't look at anything below MTX/RF 5-6 channel monsters (not that they are below average quality, just in comparison to a Mac, Zapco, Xtant, PPI, etc. they are beasts but not always subtle). I think it was safe advice.
