I was at the IASCA website and they had a pic where this guy painted his amp and endcaps red. Not the whole amp only the RF diamond. I thought it looked really sweat and wanted to paint my the same way except for the endcaps cause i will have red neon shinning around. I wanted to know if i should use engine paint because of how hot the amp gets of if any enamle paint would do.

Thanks for all your help.

Your best bet would be to get the parts poweder coated. Thats when they like charge particles of paint with electricty and then like charge the surface of whatever you are painting so the particles stick to the surface. THen you set the whole shebang in a cureing oven and let it bake. The result is a smooth shiny surface.

Car eunthusiast use it on engine tin and frames all the time. there is currently a home powder coating system for around $200 from a company called eastwood i think. It takes a media blaster of some sort to spray the product then you spray the powder coat on the product and stick it in a non-food oven on 450 i think for like 15 min.
