ok, i know nothing of building boxes, thats why im letting a shop do it for me. but the guy might be an idiot, so if i know a few things about a SPL box for Juggernauts then maybe he won't screw me over.
so, each jugg needs 6 cubic ft. so thats around 1.8 for length, height, and width. Is it the more the cubic space the better? cause adding 2/10 of an inch each way isn't all that much and would make 8 cubic feet. or do they need to have exactly 6 cu. ft.?
also, we all know that takes a hell of a lot of space. and that won't even fit in the back of my Grand Cherokee. [IM GETTING TWO JUGGERNAUTS (SO TWO BOXES)unless you all have a better idea(walls have been mentioned but that takes up a lot of room also) what ever you all think] so my other question is: is it possible to have a more rectangle like box, having the box pretty tall, making up the cu. ft. that lacks in the width and or length? I guess its "possible" but would it still be a good box?
in the back of the jeep the back seats slant back into the "cargo area"(or whatever it is) and im pretty sure that the box can be slanted with it. now this is adding a new dimension (or somthin), and this is also where im gonna say im no expert and stop tryin to figure out qLength times pWidth times whatever. But if the box slants and the cu. ft. is being made up for in height, when the box reaches the tops of the backseat, then does it keep slanting or go straight up? well, i guess im getting to worried about it, and im sure that the guy knows what he is (or they are) doing. and they can figure out the backseat deal.
ONE LAST QUESTION (but easy) would i want to port the two boxes or what? this is another thing to keep in mind because if they need to be ported, and the ports are 1 ft. or whatever you all recomend then i need to have space for those also.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR HELPING ME WITH THIS its greatly appreciated. -C.B.

As long as you checked into the store and looked at some of their work I wouldn't worry too much. Installers figure volumes so much it gets boring...
Anyway you siad that 6 cu ft would be approx. 1.8 x 1.8 x 1.8, and you asked about adding 2/10's to each side to get 8 cubes. Well to get 6 cubes the box would have to be 2 feet one and a half inches on each side assuming only 3/4 inch material. That would get you 2 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet internal dimentions wich would be 6 cubes. Get it?

How do jugs sound when listening to music (hip-hop/industrial/almost anything but mainly hip-hop)?
I guess it depends on the box design? so in a SPL box design, how will my music sound (to listen too not 3sec bursts)? If u guys say crappy, i don't know whats crappy to u, so compare it to something like a factory radio or somthing like that
oh yeah, port the box or what?

It is all simple Geometry most of the time. Volume, Volume, Volume. Just remember air is a liquid and takes the shape of its container. So a boz dose not have to be all 90 deq angels. Just the right internal volume. That is as long as there are no restiction between pasegways. When a box moves from a simple shap to some of these complex ones that is when the complacted geometry is needed.
Are Thes Juggernauts recamended for a ported enclosure? If so they should come with Dimentions.

Ummmm.. I think I must have been asleep when I posted that. Ouch I can't believe I said that.
Tiny recomends: "I recommend a ported enclosure. 6 cu.ft. with port that is 10X10 and 12" long." ------------------ Johnathan Demuth Team Tiny Tunes MMATS PRO AUDIO
Man I still can't beleive I wrote that...I am so used to doing complicated volumes the simple ones throw me.....J/K

Dude, I dont know how big your subs are but with that setup you will be running over 2400 watts. I dont care if you have a sealed, ported, bandpass or any varation of any of thoes boxes, it will make your head spin! Dont worry what kind of box you build, your bass will be so loud and overpowering that you will love it. I have one 12 and about 350 watts and it F*#%in pounds!

oh, my bad jugger-my-naut. thanx for the input
so, with that setup would it be possible to play them for an hour or two (not maxed, but strong) and would they sound like music (better than a factory radio, or a bunch of crap???
