Hi there, right now i have a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird, with a Kenwood KDC8011 head unit, 2 12" JBL GT subwoofer in a 4ft custom built ported box, with the ports being 4'round, and 12" deep with the ports and subs 4inches away from the rear of the trunk. I am running an MTX 2400x Rf Road thuner amp. So about 375 to each sub, and a 1farad lightning cap. I do take out my back seats for competions. Well, i will be getting a new car soon(98-00 year) I was wondering what would keep me around my current high db(145), or even louder. I was looking into the pontiac sunfire, cavellier, grand am, civic......those kind of cars, nothin thats gonna make me go broke... please what cars have great sq help me out here thanx

I personally owned a 97 calalier z-24
It hit 151.3 (legal) with 4 pg 12"s and two ms-275's,this was with the folded seat down !
It also placed very well in sq after i switch out the old system, kick pods are really needed in this car for good image placment

think they be the same thing as kick panels.

Caveliers and Sunfires are pretty rockin' little cars . Saturn sports-coupe are also pretty sweet, for the cash. Mitsu Eclipse/Eagle Talon are so very very very nice, especially the 1997 models!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you could, get a car with door speakers and then add kick panels as well . Get some extra mid-bass upfront, not for SPL, but great SQ . If you've gots enough room in the doors, could mount a pair of 8" mid-basses/woofers up there . Think audiophyle or audioextreme has an 8 in the glove box area, now that is inginuity!!

Any car has the potential to rock with the system you've got, but the Cav, Sunfire, Saturn, Talon/Eclipse, and Avenger shouldn't break you too much.

Much luck and have fun shopping

I have some totally kick-ass custom panels to trick out an Avenger - KPs, trunk sidewalls and floor. 'glass flare for a single 12" behind the seat and a custom curved 'glass amp rack for 3 RF amps.....

The all came out of a pro IASCA car. Let me know if you are intersted.

Just a though... How about a nice used Acura Integra! It's a hatchback, has fold down seats, and the option of using a double din head unit.

Not to mention that in it's class you will not find a better performing car. I use to have a 96, it was PHAT!
