For those of you who are familiar with my attempt to build a budget system here is another update!! When I last left off I had just put one and a half square ft of dynamat on the back of my Q-logics (I know, Iknow) anyway I installed my punch 55.2 and ran it bridged momo (to 3 fosgate 10 dvc's). WOW not bad for such a lil amp. I also installed my old but trusty fultron x-over and started tweaking. At first I tried having my oz130 mids/kicker nd13'a X'ed at about 100hz, wrong answer, it seemed the system sounded better the lower I had them X'ed. So as of now My subz are at about 70hz and down and my mid/tweets at about 70hz and up. Anyway I Put in my iasca disk and man what a suprise, the imaging was were it was supose to be on most of the cuts!!, I did notice that on the seven snare drum track it was not dead center on the 4th hit but slightly left and # 5 was dead center. Well enough Rambling, now for my question of the week. I ran across a deal for a set of mb quarts 5" mid with one inch tweet, musicomp X-overs for a lil under 250.00 I like quart ALOT, but what am I gaining quality wise over my 0z130 5" mids and kicker nd13's?? the quart set does not come with a flush mount tweeter pod, and I grown to like that about my kickers. Were do my 50.00 (demo) oz mids fit when i comes to car audio speakers?? As I've said before money is an issue should I get these speakers? or should I save my money and use it later down the road??
