Lately I have been eyeing the Avital Avitart7500 or was it the 6500. I want one to control door locks, window roll up, remote start, and have a good shock sensor. I would prefer a Viper, Avital, or whatever. Also can someone give me some good tips for installing one. I would like to do multiple sirens in the cab and hide it well.

Clifford AvantGuardIV. Everything you'd ever want in an alarm system. Put one in a dodge ram, remote start, horn honk, 2 sirens inside, rolled up both windows, rolled both down 1-2 inches, did each window separately, had the proximity sensor, which worked well, and that omnisensor, which is way cool.

For installation tips I would recomend checking out the Lost and Stolen Equipment forum. It has a lot of great tips from the likes of Audiophyle and Dukk. Personally, I have heard a lot of good things about Alpine for alarms, and you should check out the september 1999 issue of Car Audio and Electronics, they devoted a lot of time to alarms in that issue.

Alpine was always my favorite but they've done some goofy things lately....
I really like the Ungo MS3200 - it does damn near everything, but you need to add a starter.
We also sell, and I LOVE the Avital stuff. The Avistart 6500 is a kickbutt alarm and starter combo. It doesn't have quite as many EXT ouputs as I like but they are wicked reliable and user friendly...

I've got an Ungo alarm installed by the good folks at sweet sounds audio. Its very nice and not too much of a load on the budget, plus some of the features it has are unbelievable.
