Ok I just rewired my RCA cables on the other side of my car, away from all power wires. I also checked for ground loops. Everything now has its own ground. But, I am still getting the noise. It is a high pitch noise thats only on when my engine is running and when I step on the gas till @ 4,000rpm. Are their any suggestions as to what it may be. Should I try a different pair of RCA cables? Thanks for all the help.

Alternator whine, the dreaded enemy of old!!
Hrm, a couple options (off the top of my head): 1) get Monster Cables' noise killing series of RCA cables (other companies make similar toys); 2) Put on an electronic noise killer to your power cable (may not be possible if big system); 3) Change to RF, MTX, Orion, PPI, PG, Eclipse amps ; 4) rewire the power cable through the passenger side (if the battery is on the right-hand side of the engine compartment) so as to avoid any extra engine noise --> or vice versa if battery is on the left side; 5) This should be done first, disconnect all the other amps and run the subs - any noise? If noise, disconnect the sub amp from the cross-over (if external) and run straight from deck - any noise? Keep doing this until you've found no noise (hopefully this does not occur only when the sub amp is disconnected from all incoming signals ); 6) Disconnect the sub amp from the incoming signal from the cd/tape deck and replace that with a walk-man - any noise? Do the same to the cross-over.
Also, is there any whine from the rest of the system or only the subs? Is the sub amp a different brand? Are the RCAs all of the same brand and series? Not sure if that makes a difference, just thinking. Are there any bare wires showing? Any metal parts of the RCA connectors touching the car's chasis?
When I did my multi-amp installs (granted, all internal cross-overs and no caps), I ran all of the ground leads to one distribution block and then that one ground lead to the chasis. Not sure if this is even feasible in a huge SPL vehicle (if this is what yours is).

You might wantto check your ground at the battery. If you have upgraded you power wire to a larger gauge wire you should do so also to the BATTERY negative with the same size wire as your power wire. Many people forget to upgrade the (-) wire from the battery to the chassis (I unforutnatly was one of those people) This will not let all the electrons flow through and will create alternator while (which sucks and is annoying as hell). Aslo make sure your power wire is through a gromment because if you power wire covering gets cut ope by the hole in the fire wall and touches the actual copper inside the wire.....= NO NO!!

I had an old car one time that had that problem. It had nothing to do with the equipment, wire, or install. I ended up having to create my own ground loop by grounding from the battery to the engine block to the frame and back to the battery. Whallah!!! No more noise. Just a suggestion.

first check all your engine earths you should have one from batt to engine ie starter moter one if not two from engine to body one from body to bonnet Also when was it`s last service because plugs and leads that are old or not supperssed will cause a problem

Thanks again for all your help.
