I'm wanting to put an amp in my boat with 4- 5.25 Kappa's and am trying to decide between serial and parallel wiring schemes. I'm leaning towards parallel because: 2 channel amps cost less, I'm not concerned with fade control, and I assume for the same power to the speakers the 2 channels in parallel will draw less power than 4 in serial. Any problems in my thinking and should I be overly concerned with amp overheating?

I will be fine to run them in parallel on a 2 channel amp.
