I was wondering if I would have a better sound stage/imaging if I made a small kick panel enclosure for the tweet which is now located in the door panel right in front of the door open latch. They are MB Quart components and there is no room for a full kick pod w/mid. The car is a manual and the pod would take up the foot rest next to the clutch leaving my foot nowhere to rest. The mid is down low in the door al lthe way up front so it will be in close proximity to the tweeter, at least closer than it is now. [Cool] Any ideas as to placement, should I keep the tweet close to the mid in the kick panel or should I move the tweter all the way forward to maximize the distance away from my ears. Its my understanding that they should be angled towards the dome light, is this a general rule of thumb or should I play around with aiming them? thanks, joe

If the Mid is 5" or bigger, leave them in the doors & mount the Tweeter like you want in the kick.
If the mid is less than 5", mount them both in the kick.

usually mounting the tweeter in the kick will sound better than the door latch

use double sided tape to confirm
