I have never built a ported box before.....How do I figure what size port to use???? lenth? depth?
I want to make a slot ported box, I want it as loud as it can possibly be.....Can someone help me?

also I am new at figuring resonate freq. of cars.....From the very back of my hatch to the front firewall is real close to 10 feet, could someone figure this for me.....my box will be facing back towards the hatch with about 2 feet firing room......should I measure the front of box to the firewall???? or the total distance????

then should I multiply my given distance by 2,,, then take 1130 and divide it by the number I just came up with???? Help!!!!!!! I'm confused

Download a box design program and you'll be sweet, I've done a 146dB with a single 12" in a 2.3cube slot ported box off about 600wrms. There was a nice site that calculated the dimensions for the port but im at Uni so I don't know it...

TeamCAA - Car Audio Australia

1 x Hertz HS300 12"
1 x Blaupunk Burning Desire

1 x 147.5dB

150's is the aim, S1-2 is the game...
