Hello, the Rumble Bee's Replacement has been chosen and its a 1993 Geo Tracker with a hard top. I need some suggestions on what to put in there for competition. I've got 4 15" RF DVCs and a Mmats D300HC. What should I do, I think I can sell the DVCs if I need to to buy something different.

GIve me some ideas please.

i would port 2 power DVC 12" inside a Geo Tracker, powering them with dual 1100's..

how much real-world power does the D300HC put up?

If your intent is to be competitive at Finals, I'd stick with 8 subs (Ama 5-8 ) Larry's killing everyone in 3-4 (167-damn!). The highest so far in 5-8 is 163. I'd try to fit 8 fifteens in there, and push 'em with 8 BIG amps! I just happen to have 8 US400X amps I'll make you a deal on!

A guy here outside portland has one with 4 magma 12's in a removeable wall. Biggest problems are the back side windows like to try to pop out. He is removing them and steel plating instead. Also the back door rattles if you do not do some work. Be aware if you try to add too many batts the you will have to get custom springs made. But if you remove the ac compressor( or hope the bosses are on the engine) you can run three large alts with no more work than building a few brackets. From my own experience from repairing them, they have a lot of rattles to watch out for.

Steve: Let me know on the amps what kind of price you would be willing to do.

The Cow: Yes, I'm more than likely going with the 8 12s. Just got to get the money soon.

Joe,
I was building a van, but too many things fell through so I sold it. Although I love US Amps, I have no need for 12 of these monsters in my daily driver. By the way, you're not Joe of Elite Audio in SC are you?

Thumpin,
The more amps you want, the better a deal I can make you. One amp is $600. 2 amps I'll do for $1150. 3 for $1700. And 4 for $2200.

Hrm, as far as sub choices, could you not also go with Power DVCs, CV-Vega (or 12" Strokers), Orion HCCA, MTX 7K, etc.? Figured those had crossed your mind, but thought I'd mention them for redundancy's sake

As for amps, damn nice deal KOB (wish I could swing it). The obvious choices of the big bad and downright monstrous: RF 1100a2, Earthquake class Ds, MMATS class Ds, and MTX's 2300, and anything big by PG and PPI of course . But might also want to try: Orion's 1000 watter, AudioArt has a 1000+ HC amp, Infinity's Beta 300 (right #?) class D behemoth, and I think JBL Power has a 1000+ amp out there too (crutchfield). Audiobahn to be different same with a Crossfire monstrosity (in a good way) .

I'm surprised you didn't mention anything about memphis class D amps. I will more than likely be going with the 8 12" IDQs and 4 Crossfire 1000Ds
What do all of you think this will do?

How much are you getting the Crosfires for? 4 of these US amps would get you about 1 to 1.5 dB more, if your subs can handle the extra power!

I'm just getting them a lot cheaper than what those US amps are. I really want the US amps but I can't afford that much. Let me know if you can go down in price. I've got money in my pocket waiting to get building on my new system.
