What is there to talk about? dB Drag goes by the number of amps, not power of a amp. I dont see that rule changing anytime soon.
Your post was starting to talk about amps that are legal and turning them illegal. If members of this forum want to petition to make amps illegal, by all means go for it, your just not doing it in this section of the forum. Not while im on guard anyway. I would suggest bringing your subject up with Wayne Harris or one of the 3x Judges so they can discuss it. We as members do not (and should not) discuss on this forum how to run dB Drag.
This post "illegal amps" is different, where it is talking about amp(s) that are allready illegal to be used in db drag.

The Drag Queen was illegal for more than just internal batteries. It did not function like todays amplifiers.
#1) It only outputted square waves. Rules state must be capable of playing music, a square wave is not music.
#2) I believe the voltage rails were maintained by the internal batteries and it was designed to run for 30 seconds off of those batteries after being "charged" by the car battery. Current amplifier technology uses a power supply to process the incoming voltage of the battery and that is what drives the voltage rails.

they only made 4 or 5 of them total....and they could always play music...it is just that they would also play a striaght 60hz tone also with no input.....

if you can walk into ANY store in the world that carries that brand of equipment and the can mod if for you it is fine (IMO) AS LONG AS it don't violate other rules...
like the shredder...the avalable mod for it is changing an internial fuse....I think that should be OK. Now if requires rebuilding part of the board...yea, that would just be to much...

any amp can produce a square wave. if you want to get technical, d class amplifiers can not play music... they can play 250hz and below, in most cases...
