We make a list of amplifiers above 2000 watts. We form a committee of an odd number of judges either 5 or 7. If there is an amplifier in question whether its 2 amps or 1 amp in any case, then a picture is taken and sent to the committee. The judges will then determine whether it is 1 amp or 2 amps. The judges decision is final. There cannot be a tie with an odd number of judges. The ruling will be placed within 7 days of the submission. We will need approximately 2 backup judges to cover in case someone is sick or on vacation. We will keep these photos on file so we can see if a manufacturer or a competitor has changed an amp to bypass the ruling. Any amp 2000 watts or more cannot be used at a multi-point event unless it is on the list and it must have been submitted 2 weeks prior to any competition it is used at. Plain and simple if its not on the list, it is not allowed to be used at a multipoint event as a single amplifier. This is not discriminating against any manufacturer or competitor. If a competitor or a manufacturer would like to submit their amplifier, the committee would make a ruling and add it to the list. I feel 2000 watts is a decent break point for deciding whether 1 amp or 2 amps, below that it doesn't really have any bearing on db drag racing considering the top dogs even in street A are running 3000 or more watts. I would be willing to be a part of the committee and I am sure that we can get another 4-6 judges that would be willing to serve on the committee. This is on a purely voluntary basis. As for Wayne, he could make a link so that when you submit a picture it is emailed to the committee as a whole and within 7 days a ruling can be made. We, of course, could not start with the 7 day ruling due to the massive amount of amplifiers we would have to start with. I would think a functional list should be available by the end of January prior to any multi-point events. If there is problems with this, please let me know. Or please support it and let Wayne know that we feel this is how it should be handled. Later Doug

as of now this seems to be the most feasible solution

i think its bringing too many hassles into the equation. Bring back the amplifier limits and save all the extra trouble.

I'm all for moving Dbdrag a step closer to fair and clear-cut rules getting written, but what's the difference between this and the "Amp List" in 2004 (Which I believe never happened)???
