Michael is a good kid and is having fun racking up some trophies. We continue to work on the vehicle to squeeze out more spl. (as everyone strives to do) It's been a tough road in that truck, but is starting to pay off. It is a green S-10 though, tan interior, single Storm 15, two T20001BD amplifiers and 4 Strike batteries. (three are in the back, one is up front)
I am the one that built the system he competes with. He gets his hands dirty from time to time, but the fabrication is mine. It's nothing fancy by any means, but hey it's a daily driver/spl vehicle. We hope to have some major improvements made on the truck by SBN to bring the SPL up more. So I guess that I'll be breathing a lot more MDF dust between now and then!
sweet man, i was higly impressed with the install. Hell, he waxed my but in the 0-15" class. I still wish I could have got mine working right. But mad props to Michael, I would love to come up and chat with you guys some time.
we have a termlab as well.
Man, any time you want to come up your more then welcome. We have a lot of fun around the shop. You know I'd like to get together with you some time and put your TermLAB up head to head with my meter. I have the Audio Control with the SPL190 and people complain that my meter is stiff even when compared to the SPL190 that was used at Nopi. Michael only does a 151.4 on my meter, and has gotten as high as 159.9 on the mic. (the last show before this one that was in Carolton)
I'll even make the deal better. If you want to come up one Saturday I'll have one or two other subs available that you can throw in to test in your truck, and I mean with complete autonomy. I know that many people will think I'm an idiot for saying this here on the Termpro forum, but we have had better luck with the Storm 15's for SPL this year then we had with RE subs, and they can take some abuse. I'm sure that we have a few guys that would love to see your truck as well.
I'll try and make it out there to hang out one day. Where exactly is your shop? I'm in the Augusta area. I'm about to rip out the box that's in there and build a full blown wall within the next couple months, but I'll try and leave it all in so there will be something in there when I come down.
I'll make sure I bring the termlab down with me as well. I think he would have been around a 49-50 on the termlab based on how several of us saw a 7-8 db drop from the meter that day to my termlab.
I'm finding that in my truck...the MT's like certain conditions....some of which I have figured out...some of which I haven't

The shop is in Canton Georgia, that is about a half hour north of Marietta on I-575. It's a pretty fair distance from Augusta.
Man, I know what you mean about conditions in the truck. I'm still working on new ideas to experiment with in the S-10. The S-10 has frustrated me more then any vehicle I've worked on so far. No wait a minute, I think I hated the Ford Probe more. Posts: 279 | From: GA | Registered: Nov 2003
