rabbits are hard to find is part of the reason. You will have to consider that you cant cut anything to fit the equipment in the car...

I think you could have more success in getting your question answered by posting in some european forum and asking for the VW Golf MkI ...as it is the same car, and it has been hugely sold in europe, so sure someone did play with it [Wink]

possible upside is that some/most rabbits came with a diesel engine from the factory which were very reliable(laster 250,000mi+) were very easy to fix and they help offset the weight [Smile]

Rabbits will do wonderful in street max... really what you want though is a 4 door rabbit(smaller cabin about 15-20% smaller than a 2 door)
