amps (1-2 channels) $70
amps (3-5 channels) $85
outside amps: same unless in questionable condition them we charge a $20 bench test fee-if they decide on us doing the work bench fee is waived and normal price is charged.

decks $99 and up (non multimedia decks) free basic labor (Yeah I just love those [Mad] )
outside decks and less than $99: $50
basic multimedia decks (self contained din/dbl din) $100
advanced multimedia decks $150

Speakers $42
Components $100

amp kits

If I install gear that is DOA after install but benches okay-I give the customer 30 days to bring me a replacement with no penalty (they dont have to pay for install again)-most purchase new gear from me then.

LOL well you asked for labor prices. My prices are without parts or materials charges. Since I work for BB the labor rates were just "standardized" [Roll Eyes] [Razz] to bring them in line with many parts of the country. I still charge what is a fair for the type of work the customer requests.

HU above $99 free install.

Hardwiring a cut off harness is $20 extra.

In dash montors are $100.

Sub amps are $60.

4 channel are $80.

Speakers are $40 per pair.

Components are $80.

-All pieces not bought from us are an extra %50 normal labor costs.

-We also have custom labor rates for caps, lighting, etc.

-These prices do NOT include parts, and each ticket rung up has a $4.99 shop fee.

-We use kits for wiring, but also have bulk wire available. We use only our wirng. If we do use the customers, no warranty is given for noise, etc.

These are all Circuit City prices for our district (NC/SC area).

valued the service you provide it wouldn't be that hard to take it away from a "mechanic" shop instead of whoring yourself out. On 2nd thought- how about I hire you and I run the front office [Razz]

Other day customer comes in with an alpine in dash screen and a pyle dvd player and wants then installed in his maxima (non bose). I quote him $180 plus tax installed all parts included. He says you man I got a better price somewhere else. Okay I bite...whats the shop and how much are they charging you. He names the shop ( its a 'hood shop)-i know where it is-so what the charge. He looks around and leans over to me and says:
" a bag of weed..."

I let him know that was a hella deal-and he bounced

Should've shot him [Big Grin] I can't believe he could'nt afford a $40 changer install.I hate behavior from people like that. I bet he had the money and more, they either don't want to pay or work you for little to nothing.
I charge at least $100 on changer installs.

$25 for head unit
$50 for amp
$100 for box

That is just labor. All material is extra.

If the local shops would hire me they would get a lot more business.
