As we all found out, the judges from overseas and our judges do alot of things different from each other and I think that would be a big issue....

There it is right there......Like the FINAL FOUR......I think that's a great idea and think if you win your regional you would be hyped as hell to drive anywhere, but you're not gonna drive cross country to be "jobbed" like my man Terry "Scaper" was at Nashville.....

...with the accuracy of the Termlab system I don't see why there cannot be a simultaneous World-wide Finals.
Late evening in Europe, afternoon in the East coast, early afternoon in the west coast, and morning in Australia.
Link via internet, and run top 8 in each location as World-wide qualifications, ending with #1 in each location competing for the overall World's loudest in each class.
Start 1 day early for all locations to have their local qualifications simultaneously, then the last day would be overall World-wide Finals winners.
This would also allow for a much larger world-wide in-person audience, and additional room for manufacturers and local retailer's displays meaning greater sales of booths and additional income for the DB Drag assoc.

The problem isnt with the accuracy of the termlab. The problem is with judging inconsistencies.
It is my opinion that we need to have a North American Finals, European Finals, Austrailian Finals, whoever else wants to have finals, but not a world finals. This really is the only way to appease everyone. World finals doesn't please everyone, because everyone can't come to it.

I believe any inconsistencies in Judging would be easy to work out, especially if a certified judge from each location were able to link-up in realtime to all other judges, also via the internet, and together all rulings could be mutually decided upon by all judges.
How exciting it would be to see a Euro/Aussie/So American, etc... car head to head with one from the US, maybe .1dB apart midway through the 30 seconds!
Think of it, the first (that I know of) World-wide simultaneous competition format... another DB Drag 1st?
*Plus, each location would basically have their own local finals, the winner of which would join in on the World-wide internet based Finals in each respective class.

Oklahoma City would be great. Not because I live here in Oklahoma but for the fact that I have been to Nashville three times and a person runs out of things to do.
Oklahoma City has changed in the past few years. My family and I went down town (Bricktown) on New Years Eve and took a boat ride down the canal. My daughter loved it!! If you prefer, you could just walk next to the canal (River Walk). We also have a new Theater, Bass Pro Shop and many new Restaurants all in walking distance. This is more tuned for Family after competing.
For the night life there are plenty of new Night Clubs around. Again all in Walk distance of the Hotel(s). We were told that there is going to be a new Hotel built right next to the canal.
Here is the web site to Oklahoma City. Just click on Bricktown and this will not only show you what is in Bricktown but it will have a map as well. So go on and take a look and for the people that have been down to San Antonio, Texas, this "River Walk" is a mini version of it!

That's a good idea, but if the certified judges can't agree on rules interpretations when they're in the same building, as was the case in Nashville, there is no way that they're going to interpret the same way from different locations. The judges would have to become robots or suddenly be incapable of interpreting the rules a certain way. Not gonna happen in the near future.
As for the actual location discussion, I would be for joint finals in KC (considering I am 30 minutes away from Bartle Hall), but I fear that the of chaos/lack of organization of USACi would interfere with dB Drag having a quality finals. Maybe this would be fixed by the additional third day as Ralph has proposed, but at this point, I'm not buying it. Not to leave out MECA or IASCA, but I really don't see dB Drag and USACi (as organizations) seeing eye-to-eye on enough issues in order to please most of the competitors and keep from confusing the spectators. Bartle Hall is big enough and KC is fairly central, but that's about all the location has going.

I don't see how communicating with the other judges thru the internet would really help. It's not like you can tell whether something is legal by the way it is described to you, or even from a couple pictures...
