From my understanding, the main reason he was in extreme was because he didn't have a headliner.

as far as i could see there was nothing in the car that would have made it a exteme car, but i did not get a chance to get a good look, it looked as if he just had 4 kicker l7 in the back seat, windows look org, and i could not see any other mods that would class him as if he was exteme, not to hate but he was doing like 145's so i guess what im saying is why exterme?

he was missing Door panels, dash parts, headliner, and a few other essentials infront of the B pillar.. but mostly the door panels.. I asked him why he did DbDrag instead of Bass Race but I dont remeber his response

He said he couldn't get the hang of it well enough. I see him at most of the shows around here.

Sam puts him in Extreme do to the headliner mainly and what Doug said.

he is a supporter of dbdrag.

he did bass race last year at finals.

its just not his thing.

he enjoys competing, and supports the sport.

his vehicle is not loud (compared to others in his class on a national or world level) but that's not why he does it.

he does it because he has fun.

he's in extreme because that's where his car legally fits.

i commend him, because he goes to a fair number of shows, and does a lot of traveling. mostly, he spreads the word about dbdrag, brings his friends along, and helps get new people involved.

its not always about who's the loudest for everyone.

my daughter will be in the same boat next year.

she'll be competing in bass race and dbdrag. extreme 5+.

she'll have 12 12's in the back, and lots of mods forward of the b-pillar. unfortunately the car will only be legal for extreme class. but that's a sideline thing. her main goal is bass race.

but, she will support dbdrag and bass race, at every event, including finals. that helps to support the judges putting on the shows, as well as the retailers hosting the events, and for finals, its that much extra money to dbdrag to cover the costs involved with hosting world finals.

we'll be working very hard to ensure the car makes top 8 in extreme 5+ and does a semi-respectable number while doing it.

and yes, it will be built for extreme too.. ie: console, floor, roof, etc...

i spoke with him multiple times, he's areally cool guy, and it was a pleasure speaking with him, and cant wait to see him again at steel valley in the spring, and like jay said, he does it for the love of the sport and it makes him happy, and he did have alot of people checking out his ride, much better looking then the standard extreme pile of crap you see, no offense but they spend the time making it loud and not pretty, cause thats what wins, he takes pride in his daily driver and it shows
