i'm gonna make this quick, because i'm finally goign back to work today, so i need to get ready...
but...
call it coincidence, or call it the power or prayer.. wither way. .something worked !!
mom came home today.
doc's ruled that it was in fact an allergic reaction to the meds they switched her to. they have switched her back to what shes been on all along. heart rate and blood pressure are normal, and she's back home.
sister is awke, and staying that way. breathing fine. in some pain of course, but they have her on a ton of drugs and pain meds so she's hanging in there just fine. doesnt appear to be any brain damage. shes talking just fine, knows who she is, where she is, and why, etc... all things considered, she's doing great.
and for the strangest news..
the guy who hit trista.. my sister.. turned himself in today!!!
out of he blue, the guy just walkes into the police station and says that his car was damaged, and he knew he had hit some parked cars, and thoguht he might have hit someone as well. said that his conscience had been gnawing at him, so he turned himself in.
quick check of his vehicle's color and the damage, etc.. confirmed he was in fact the guy!!
just like that.. just turned himself in.!!!
so, with my sister on the road to recovery, and my mom back home, and the criminal driver in jail, i'm finally going back to work!
and thanks to everyone for the thoughts and wishes and prayers, as well as the pm's and phone calls, and emails. i'll be answering them all soon enough.
will be making plenty of phone calls tonight at work!
btw: wanna talk about selflessness.....
today about an hour after she came home, my mom asked how much i had rebuilt on the truck i nthe last 2 weeks.
i told her i havent done anything to it. i took a week break. and then this week, i was at the hospital so i havent done any thing.
her response....
"how the hell do you plan to bring ME home a world champion trophy if you dont get of your lazy butt and get to work!!"
wow, that's my mom

I met this guy at finals. I talked to him about his truck, box, woofers, amps & battery. He seemed very open & happy to discuss his system. Even though I had a vehicle in his class. He told me about his hawker 2150, the performance of his old one, how he replaced it just to play it safe even though his old one didn't seem to show fatigue. He showed me how he charged his battery. The next thing I know this guy puts a post on this forum asking for help. I read it in disbelief. How could a guy like this encounter such tribulations all at once? With the way that our society is, it takes a big man to lay it out like he did & ask for PRAYERS. From the way he came across to me at finals I have to believe that he comes from good people & it troubled me to hear that good people were going through all of this at once. I am a person of faith but far from a bible thumper. I firmly believe one thing in my heart. Prayers are powerful & can help us overcome even the worst situations. My father had a favorite poem. Most, if not all of you probably know it, 'Footprints in the Sand.' http://www.footprints-inthe-sand.com/PoemPage.htm I think it says it all except there were a bunch of dB Draggers there holding you up also. Jay, my prayers were with you. My brief encounter with you at finals left me with a great first impression of you. In my eyes you deserved to have these near tragedies pan out for the best in the end. I am sorry I rambled on here but it makes me feel good to know that your family survived these events.
