Figures..
I started by accident -In 1996, we showed up at Greenville, SC with our F350 Sq system which was a true novice and the original bronco that we wanted in the Pro class, only to discover that Patrick could not be in both classes. So I took the bronco, which I knew absolutely nothing about and Pat took the Sq truck. The F350 too first in SQ and of of course the Bronco got a whole lot of attention with that 164.9 backed up by a 165.3db.
LOL - several rules were changed because of that system.

I always loved playing with speakers when I was a little kid. I was like 10 yrs old and had a bunch of speakers I had collected all wired up to my boom box stereo. lol Competing is a good reason to beat woofers up. pluss it exciting!!

Jim Myrick, Jeff Barbera and I were all friends building systems that we thought were loud. Jeff talked us into going to a show in starke, FL, at Logans Car Stereo, it was me and Jim's first db drags ever. I took 3rd in street 3-4, jim took 4th in SS 3-4, and jeff took 4th in street 3-4. we went to a couple more shows, and all finished in the top 5 again, and we were hooked. We got hooked up with Step who was a national competitor, and became a teammate with him, and the rest is history!
PS the litte town me, jim, and jeff lived in, were too hip on the loud stereos, considering some kids rode horses to school!

My uncle competed and I used to sit in his truck with 8 crunch 15's, and then 6 stroker 18's, and at 13 I couldnt get enough of it. I just never could get enough. Nothing was ever loud enough. In my pursuit for a louder system I ran across Shawn Fleming and through hanging out with I him met Gorman Cassidy and William Collier and after that it was over. I had found my calling.

My ex and his friends were always talking about how loud their systems were yet they never brought home any trophies...so we put a system in my car and I think I got a first at some USAC show back in 99....that's where I first saw Danny B.
