Hey Neill Also rember its the old Audiocontrol when DB Drag switched to the new Termlab 99% of everyone dropped off 7 to 8 dbs. also the woofers and amps we run now are way better and better box designs. If we were still running the Old Audiocontrol in DB Drag just think of the numbers that Steve Cook and others that loud would have been. Im glad that they did make the mics harder because the old a/c meters wouldnt read over 182.0 so what would we do if they didnt get harder?? Just something I was tinnking about. HEE HEE

Nice scores....
you can buy it or not buy it....but I was exactly 7.6 db off from the Termlab to the Whitlee. 8 was an estimation and I wasn't the only one who saw that big of a difference. There was the jeep that came with me, as well as Super10 from this forum.

They must have had the meter turned up to +3 at the show, when they are zeroed the whitlee meter here reads about 5 higher than my TL. 149.2 on TL, 154.0 on whitlee AC last time I went to a whitlee show with the 1 MT 15 and 2 A3000db's. I hope all of you guys can make it to our show on the 29th.

ill hit my linX today and see if my number is about the same as saturday.. otherwise i guess my LinX is tighter than the TL

Im not saying that the mic was the same as the Term Lab Im saying that The old A/C meter that DB Drag used before the Termlab was 7 to 8 db drop. So the scores that you are seeing now is what the Scores would have been 3 years ago if Wayne would not have changed the mic how would we get a score because there are People that can do well over a 182 on the old A/C meter. So I think that Wayne say what was comming and made the right move. Pluse they are so accerate. The Term Lab that is. Just making sure no one thought that I was saying that the meter was the same as the lab.

I don't think anyone was saying the two meters are/were the same.
You also have to remember that Neill competes in other organizations that still use the Audio Control. Neill has also been aronud since the begining of dB Drag, so he knows his way around all the meters ever used in any organization.
On a final note. Does it really matter how high or low the mic at this show was compared to other shows? Everyone had to run on the same mic so it doesn't really matter. Either way congrats to the winners, and everyone who competed is a winner in my opinion.
Thanks for your time.

Michael Hohl did 157.7 on that meter. On my Audio Control Meter with the SPL 190 sensor his best SPL score so far was 151.4 which is 6.3dB down. Everyone complains that my meter is the toughest one they have ever been on. If Termlab is stiffer then mine (which everyone tends to believe it is on the forums) then that would probably also tend to support the 7-8 dB over TermLab

The Audiocontrol reads as soon as you hit it, The termlab dose a 3sec. average. Thats why the termpro is harder.
