I love how when you mention a "WLV" box two things are always mentioned
1. "they are really hard to build, everything must be perfect, you cant build it from pictures"
2. " they are really complex"
Anyone that builds cars to this level is "complex". Nothing is easy. I didnt want to see a picture of a WLV box to copy it. I wanted to compare it to what I have to see if it is similiar. I have another idea in my head that I think will work as well but I am waiting for the new rules to come out. I am not building an extreme vehicle anyway, we are building something for SS.

Boys are absolutely right WLV desing is good when you have extreme car but in SS you should build normal ported box. Ofcourse you can try to build some funny bandbass box but i don't think that end score will be any higher.

you'd be suprised how well a design like that works in MECA...

I guess when you guys see my box it can be a "WLB" box.
It isnt a "normal" bandpass, and by middle of the season it will be quite a bit different than anything else. Hope it works sealed up

Still working on exactly what we are going to do, but we will be hosting shows, probably USAC and DbDrag.

Is that why you scrapped the SS 5+ vehicle?

I think the SS5+ car was scrapped because of the size of the vehicle and the size limits of the tow vehicle they use to get to the Euros/Sinsheim.
The Van phsyically wouldnt have fitted inside the transporter.

Several world record holders over the last three years have used sealed rear bandpass boxes. Pretty easy actually, build a huge front chamber and put some small sealed boxes in it, move them around til it gets loud. Doesnt really work for DBDrag because it usually peaks above 80 hz.

I dont think that you have seen the box that they are talking about. It is nothing like that and its not sealed they didnt have time to tune the port on Steves before Finals you will see a total different score in Daytona.

I forgot about that one Scotty. Do you think it was a bandpass or just ported?
I need to pull the braces out of our van so I can change the blown sub out and play around with it sealed up. Hopefully will have some more power in a couple of weeks.

we will probably run SS 3-4. I dont have enough van to run anything higher, and its too big for 1-2. Waiting to see the new rules before I re-build it. Will probably do some USAC shows in its current state and will be re-built by Slammin and Jammin. Probably will go to Tuner Jam but will not be at SBN due to an already scheduled non car audio related event.

yea its me it was in that ugly toyota van we had at us 43 the last time they did it. we had two sound sream tr1600/2 and what we tought was 2 15" armaggedons but only one was working. it did a 156-157 something like that i think with one sub and one amp. i was some strange looking stuff that wes pulled out of his ass the day before the show. i just wish that both subs would have been working. we were in m5 at the time and caught quite a bid of b.s. from one of the "judges" that was there that day so we decided no to take it to anymore shows. aperently the "judge" that was there that day wanted some one else to win m5 it was in 03. but i think im gonna build something now mainly for drag but i might go to meca every once in a while either strret max 1-2 or ss 1-2 havent decided yet
