<--disagrees. Placement of the mic should coincide with the average listener.

Actually, I totally agree with you. The problem is, you'd never get the mic in the exact same position each time if you were trying to put it where a persons head is typically at. Every car would vary, etc.

no its not [Wink] . There are slight changes in their interior from left to right

I've said this before but I'll say it again...I've been waiting on someone to try something like what's on the ceiling of the mormon tabernacle hall with the wooden pegs sticking out all inside the cab. Those pegs amplify the sound by vibrating...if you've ever heard how loud it is you can hear a pin drop EASILY from the back of the hall. It's not illegal and it would work with the right design. i think thats why no one has tried anything new in awhile, its too expensive to try something that you don't know will work

Got that right, if you got something that works for you it's hard to switch without full knowing that it will increase your score.

WHO?
He was using it for his B&K run at usaci finals this year. His design was pretty much a copy of scott's pioneer truck. The woofers in tubes sealed against the back wall.
Din't Mike Jones had that design last year also? I saw some pictures of his 5 15" in tubes from last years USAC finals I think.

So Mike got Owens "design"?

Last year jones had a setup with tubes, but the tubes were not sealed, and were farther forward in the cabin. He also had a pretty open interior. This year he had a console on the pass side with the small loading wall just like most of the bandpasses.
