I'm looking into transferring all the video onto my computer. Just trying to find the most economical way. All of the film is on 8mm.

Events that I have in no paticular order:

Nopi Nationals Sept. 20, 1997

Whitlee in Warner Robins, GA Nov 15&16, 1997

SISC June 20,21,22, 1997

SISC July 4&5, 1998

SBN 1999

Citcuit City in GA March 29, 1998

Circuit City in GA April 5, 1998

IASCA World Finals (dB Drag Qualifying) in Greenville, SC Oct. 25, 1997

IASCA World Finals (dB Drag Eliminations) in Greenville, SC Oct. 26, 1997

dB Drag World Finals 1998

USAC or Whitlee show in Albany, GA on March 15, I think in 1997

SBN March 20&22, have to look at it to remember the year

Also a few other misc. videos that I would have to look at again to remember what they have on them.

Hopefully I can get something to upload these videos soon. On the Finals videos I have ALL of the qualifying and eliminations.

Chad actually came to the 2003 dB Drag finals to visit too. He's and engineer for Volvo in Burlington NC these days.

Scott, was your typhoon extreme (or I guess pro back before mods went nuts) back then?? We actually may have met a LONG time ago. I was the one doing Chad Burchett's back in 96-97. We were at both finals of course when he set records there, and barfield had edged us out at Perry in 97. Did we actually face you that year at some point? or was it pro back then?

And yes, thats yours truly to the left, lol, amazing what 95 lbs of weight will do to you! [Eek!]

The Carolinas used to have some heavy heavy hitters back in the day (still do, but not as many as we did). I've always wondered what happened to Jeff Wright and Mike Barfield. Yeah, I think Jay is doing a thing or two...lol.

I would really like to get film/photos from the 96 finals. We were all in such a state of shock at that show, no record was taken. Patrick took first in sound quality with the F350 also. Who would have thought..

It would be nice to have a database to contact some of these people. They would make great judges and show promotors. A way to keep these people envoled long after they got tired of spending money on the cars they loved and hated to get rid of.

It wasnt extreme way back then, I competed in the 96 Finals in Greenville, and then just did local comps until I started in DB Drag again in July 00' . So I am really not sure Mike [Confused]

I had pictures of a great deal of vehicles and history a few years ago - however, I no longer have possession of the computer on which they were stored.

It's amazing to see some of the vehicles and faces and to feel like it was yesterday when it was already 4-5-6 or more years ago. Don't want to get too reminiscent, but those were definitely the good "old" days.
