Just checking up on some old competitors and vehicles. This hobby really misses a lot of them.

I will be back with more as they come to mind. Anyone know a cheap way to get video onto your PC? Got some old footage that I know many of you would really enjoy.

This is why it is important to upload photos. Someday, you will really be happy that you took the time to do it. This is also one of the reasons that we now require each event to upload a minimum of 12 photos.

Brantly was at the last NSPL finals.

I've sat in the Mitsubishi truck pictured when it had the jl's and soundstream Class A 6.0's. Ialso sat in that van when it had all the stroker's in it.

I've met Steve countless times and seen that mazda dominate the carolina's for years.

I also remember Tim's blazer having a steel plate over the windsheild. You had to wear goggles that were attatched to a camera in the grille to drive it.

All those pics look like they were from mid 90's or so.

How about some of the vehicles. Where are they now?

I have others in mind but am having a hard time locating pics.

Wayne, I can't believe there are no pics of the 1998 World Finals. And especially none of my truck, lol.

Steve quit b/c he couldn't find a sponsor. I go through Monroe all the time...always wonder wat happened to that guy.

I had a buddy (actually 2) who bought the van that Kevin Meetze is standing by. It had a 350 in in, no interior, lots of 1/0 wire, painted blue and 17" Billet Speciality wheels on it the last I saw it. I think it is now a work van...but it would make some nice smoke clouds when you broke traction, which, would happen on a daily basis behind the store...

I'm at the shop on a weekly basis that built the truck Erik Reid bought after it won a world record...and the owner failed to come up with the cash to pay for the install and equipment. Brit then sold it to Erik.

Larry Benton's truck is still in his backyard. Chad Hines (Conclusive) lives about 5 miles away from him.

At one point, Larry just pushed it into the woods. But, laste last year, he got it out and was tinkering with it.

Never made it to a show.

Erik Reid purchased Erik Hoss's old wagon and competed VERY well last season, but due to an equipment failure, did'nt make it to WF.

Neill I tried finding a good picture of the Jeep, but the only thing I could find was the accident.

Yeah what I have been looking for mainly are the vehicles. We know a lot of the people are still around and whatnot, but where have the vehicles ended up. For instance I know my truck ended up in a junkyard somewhere in IL.

Other vehicles I have not been able to find pics of latley:

Both Team Pure Sound Rabbits (2 & 4 door)
Danny Britain's Civic
Ray Rayfield's Earcandy

More will come to mind.
