Are rules simply made up as the dB Drag world turns?

Last year Wayne Harris told the judging staff that he wanted to see better looking install. He told us to allow for custom installs. When a competitor showed up at finals with a custom fiberglass install in the rear of their vehicle the judging staff ruled this legal per Wayne Harris's instructions. It is the judging staff's opinion that this install was one of the better looking installs at the show.
The judging staff unanimously agreed that there needs to be some definition in the rule book regarding what a custom install is before it gets out of control. We have submitted our suggestions to Wayne Harris for consideration in next years rule book.
So with this being said, I would wait and see exactly what will or will not be allowed for 2005.
