When I got home today, I noticed that the motion light on the garage was not working. The light came on this morning when I left for work. I didn't think much of it and went in the house. We all went to bed around 10:00 pm or so.
I remarked to Amy how nice it was to get a good nights sleep without having to worry about someone breaking into our cars and stealing our stereos. We just recently bought our first home which has a two car detached garage right next to the house. We have three cars so the CRX sits outside under the motion light. We live in a nice neighborhood..or so we thought.

Well, at 12:10 am we were awakend by the sound of breaking glass and our LOUD ASS car alarm. The theif/theives probably sh!t themselves when they broke my window because my car alarm is SO DAMN LOUD. I'm glad they didn't get our equipment as it is all that we have. We have worked very hard this season to get the car where it is and it would have been a great loss for Amy and me. It was a blessing that the only loss of property was the broken glass.

I would like to thank a few people for their efforts in helping keep my car safe when I'm sleep/away.
Sam Horn and Mike Plum, for selling/installing my Clifford 2-way alarm. My alarm system consists of 4 sirens, honks the horn and flashes the headlights. All of these add-ons helped to foil the crime.
Last but not least, thanks to Terry Brocks for his idea in adding extra alarm sirens which helps make the alarm SPL loud to wake me up and scare off thieves.
I hope this never happens to anyone else.

Thanks to all that have helped us this season,
Team N.E.O Amy and Vernon.

WOW! Glad nothing was stolen and there wasn't too much damage. 4 years ago my Neon kept getting gutted when I worked at Lucent so I purchased a nice alarm, added 2 sirens inside and had two under the hood. I also added a remote pager alarm. The last time my car was broken into, the theifs removed my battery because they couldn't get the alarm to stop. lol Get that Rex in the garage Vern.

Well, just in time for Usaci World Finals, I had Danny Britian hook up my alarm

Steve Cook originally did the install. Its an autopage alarm ( basic ). Its a 1987 Astro Van. I have the siren and the factory horn. The factory horn on the van is really loud.

Well, for Usaci I went the extra mile. I had the pulse on the alarm hooked to my airhorns from www.hornblasters.com . Now when my alarm goes off, its the siren, horn and air horns. [Big Grin]

I can't wait till someone trys to break in!

Good thing they didn't take any equipment!!Too bad ya didn't catch them! [Wink]
Break-ins and car theft is getting REALLY bad in the Wash. DC. area, young theives in our area do not care about airhorns, sirens, etc they will get upset that they're caught and start shooting and if ya catch'em red-handed and shoot them, the feds want to lock the owner up for assault while protecting his property!!

Good to see that they didn't take anything. I only wish you could have caught those bastards in the act so you could have kneecaped their a$$es. Hopefully they told their friend not to mess with that car anymore or you run the risk of $#!ting your pants when the alarm goes off. [Mad]

that's why i have my nine ready all the time as soon as i hear that alarm go off im outside ready for war. [Wink] i really dont care if i go to jail if i kill them. but from what a cop told me he said if you are going to do that make sure they are dead so that no one will sue you. and good thing that cop lives accross the street [Wink] . of course family can press charges but not as likely to win the case as if it where him. so if you plan on jacking me prepare to lose youre life [Mad]
