Mike is awesome and it has really been hard for some of us RETAILERS this year and for him to achieve this is awesome!!! Much props to his TEAM ALSO you ALL ROCK!!!!! Congrtas to DD and CROSSFIRE also!!!!

O you guys meen that other mike.....lol j/k I remember seeing mike's old van clear back in 98-99. He has earned his score. Now mike please package up some of that motavation and spl and send it to me please. I think I am going to need it. O and a 177 thats one hella of a score CONGRATS!!!!!!

Back when i did the first 170.0 on the B&K i would have told you 177.0 on the B&K is absolutely impossible and out of the question. Mike Jones deserves HUGE props for that number. He has definately earned my respect.
....of course Scott Owens 176.4 is almost equally impressive!

When I talked to him,thursday he was in shambles about not having it up strong enough , his 5th sub was down still from dragfinals. He had ran out of time tuning and was only doing a 175.4db on his termlab and was down .6db with 4 subs instead of 5 .He said he had it up to 175.8 with 40 1000ds ,but ran on 4 subs 32 amps, he was scared that wasn't enough for who might show up there , he saw the pioneer truck do a 174.4db on dash dbdrag with a box similiar to steve cooks and he would play a waiting game.Pioneer truck did 176.4 and backed up with 176.3db in extreme mod. that made Mike play the game in supermod 5000 up, sandbagger!!!! he would turn it up just enough to tie and yank it up, and popped 177.0 after 4 burps no charge!! I am proud that he decided to go after a tuning messup and lost some db from prior weekend. The texas team did well, Congrats to Mike , his wife Laura , RJ , mr tucker , jon Johnson Moss, ben davis You guys did great this weekend considereing you were down some. 177.0 db is loud Can't wait to see it at full throttle!! I wish he would have had that thang at full power!!! Glad to be a part of your shop!! now come install my TV's in dash!!

Thanks to everybody at USAC , Ralph the show was great, Thanks to all the judges Don Derose ,Mike Jaffe and others that stayed late for the competitors to meter, DB steve did awesome judging on his part, you all did well with the pressure from show. Thanks to all who supported us to be while we broke that record!! It was a great moment , thanks to my friends RJ STALCUP, TRAVIS TUCKER ,DAVID MOSS,JOHN JOHNSON ,BEN DAVIS MY WIFE LAURA and fellow competitors being there. It meant alot to me. Very Very Big Congrats!! Too BOTH of the high scores on the B&K at USACI finals.
Heck not all that long ago a Dash Style Legal 180 used to be thought impossible on the normal Termpro's and Audiocontrol meters if the time and was not even a consideration on the B&K.
I am curious...and the old B&K meter used back in 1999 and the changes in the meters since have affected the numbers it reads when testing a system. Like for example...both the Termpro and Audiocontrol have undergone many changes since 1999 and both were widly used in Car Audio. So every time a change was made that affected the score that the meter would give it was noticed right away...and usually we all heard about it on the net the hour the change was noticed...lol. The B&K does not seem to have the wide use that these other 2 meters had so not really as much of a chance for a comparison like we have had on the Termpro and Audiocontol. So I wonder how much the score on the new B&K differs from the old. I wonder if the trend on the meters through the years is the same as that on the others...meter getter "harder" as the years went on. So the 178's on the B&K of today could be like a 184ish+ back then.....DAMN.
