More than likely that transline box isnt build for that woofer. I would get the specs. and build a ported encloser for it you should go up. Up grading is always a good thing to do. You should be fine in that class if you put a little work into it. I dont know if you will win but you might do alright depending on who shows up.

Special Ed, I started in 2003 with 2 12" subs and a Boss rip-695 amplifier, with a score of 127.6 at the first event. Even though I came in last place (it was a small turn-out), I enjoyed being there AFTER I decided to get in the lane. Before I got the car in the lane I was indecisive about it and very nervous. After I went home with a 3rd place trophy, I decided that I wanted to go ahead and try again. Made a 134.1 at the second event and got 2nd place. I was still a little nervous, didn't know what freq. I needed for my setup/car, but had a lot of fun meeting others and getting advice.

The most fun about the events is getting to know others and learning. It is nice to win, but for somebody doing it the first time, it will be difficult to win anything but 3rd place or worse. Don't let it get you down.

Mini street would be great for situations like this. I think it should be added to the list of classes. It would bring in more people like you, me, and a bunch of those boom cars you hear around town.

You all watch out next year though.. from the looks, I'll be in SS 3-4

well i got up early this morning and messed around with the way the sub fires, up, forwars, backwards, all whichaways and played with the amp a little bit, then went by the audio shop to use the meter(i think they are getting sick of me lol) and hit 138.7, i dont know what frequency but i used the song Late Night Tip by 3-6 mafia

so im going to start construction on a bigger box and see how that turns out...dam im excited, this is by far the loudest setup ive owned, and hopefully it will be louder

btw thanks for all the help you guys are great!
