There must be a major mod for those mtx 1501's. That was some major numbers off of very few amps. Anyone know the real story on these amps?

Why do you say that? Just because he doesn't have alot of amps does not mean he can't be loud...you don't have to have umteen million watts to be loud [Smile] sorry.

2 1501s will do 5kw@1.4ohm, so 10kw per amp, that is plenty of power to get loud...

I knew I would get this exact reply, sorry, I was not implying that you needed "umteen million watts" to be loud. But any dbdragger will tell you that power is a really huge part of the puzzle, and cracking a 168.2 is really hard to do with what would appear to be 6k watts, even with an amazing install.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these amps won't do 2500 watts and .7 ohm right out of the box will they? There has to be a mod.

What did james actually use? 1 jbl/crown a6000, 2 DD9910 or 2 kicker L7. I have alot more respect for the kicker if they took that crown for 2 days [Wink] . And were they the new shiney ones or the older grey ones. I dont want to be to nosey but what type of vehicle was that in? I am just amazed that 2 tens got such a high #. Congrates.

Actually i believe cook was using 4 9915's [Smile] with the Crossfire 4000d's (just for the record)

Very cool design - Takes months and months and months of testing to get something like that to work properly [Smile] Mikko and the rest of the guys from Finland were very very funny - Great bunch of guys! I'm glad that i finally got to meet you and your team and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next! [Smile]

And for the 1501d comment(s) having an actual .7ohm load in vehicle during play...litterally never happens. On the bench on a resistor sure, but not in the vehicle. Jared explain to me how your going to get 10,000 watts out of a 1501d in a car without it catching on fire? I mean they are VERY stout amps, but no way in the world they are that stout [Smile] .
