The classes are sorta based on cone area. 0-150, 151-250 and 251-500. So yes, up to is implied. The #'s represent the maximum amount of the size of subwoofer that can be used.

How's that?

Page 1, quick reference matrix.

Street A 1-3 subs
Street B 1-4 subs
Street C 1-8 subs

Admitadely it would be clearing stating a 1-4 12s, 1-2 15s, 1 18 but they have been printed and sent now.

Steve, im not trying to be a **** here.
I know your just trying to help, but before i have it from Wayne (or a quote from the rulebook i can show my competitors) its not good enough.

I think Wayne should just confirm this ASAP, so we can put this to a end...

The way it was read to me last year was they class you by subs first.

I have 1 15 so...

Street A
SS 1-2
or Ex1

I have 2 batts and 1 amp...

SS 1-2
or Ex1

My interior is legal for SS...

SS 1-2

With 1 15 1 amp and 2 batts in a street install. No street B allowed for me.

Wayne - please answer this simple question for me. I know other have replyed, but id like to hear it from you, so there is no confusion later.
Thanks.

The 2004 rulebook says.
· Street C -
o One 18-inch woofer
o OR Two 15-inch woofers
o OR Four 12-inch woofers
o OR Six 10-inch woofers
o OR Eight 8-inch woofers

Is the number of woofers a maximum - meaning 1 - 4 pcs. 12" woofers allowed
or is it meant to be 3 - 4 pcs. 12" woofers allowed (like last year)
or do they need to have the exact numbers of woofers - 4 pcs.12" woofers ?

What about if subs are different size?

for instance all in one car: 2x8'' + 2x10''

is that counted as 4 x10'' ?

or is it (2x8 = 1x10) + 2x10'' = 3x10''
