One thing to consider...The rules are meant to show fairness towards all competitors. To simply throw some rules together, without thinking of the effect of such rules, would be an injustice to everyone. It may take some time for the final rules to be published, but the end results will be worth the wait. For one, there is a term in which competitors voice their opinions about certain proposed rules. Then, the results of those views will need to be placed into a format that will consider all posibilities. The rules committee need time to review the proposals, before releasing the priliminary results to the public. Once everything is considered, the proposals need to be voted upon by members of the dBDRA. After the voting process ends, the rules and ethics committee need time to review the new proposed rules, to verify that there are no "unseen" problems that may hinder the organization as a whole. Once the rules are finalized, there needs to be time to get the information published (uploaded to the web). While we, as members of dBDRA, can simply say "yes" or "no" to a proposed rule, Wayne and the committee must consider all the posibilities before releasing the final product. What rules are in the final edition, will have a dramatic effect on the livelihood of the organization. To rush through the process could have a negative effect, while a thourough investigation of the proposals could help keep the organization alive for many years to come. Please understand that while one may see this as a simple task, there is much work done "behind the scenes" that is overlooked and sometimes goes unrewarded. Give it time, and rest assure that you will be given the same chances that others are given, once the final rules are finished.

Still very late though aren't they. We have vehicles to work on & can only guess at some of the rules and make assumptions based on heresay & the ongoing discussions on this forum Can you imagine that in any other sport !!! Motor racing for example F1 not knowing the rules till the last minute then expected to throw together a top class entry in a few weeks. My first show is 13 weeks away, wow thatss a long time to build an extreme class vehicle

Complaining about the time frame of the rules coming out isn't going to help them come any faster. If you are disturbed or upset about the time it's taking, please email Wayne directly. Thanks
