I read the rules and this is my understanding,
Lets say a street A competitor with 2 12's has a 8" midbass sub, he will be automatically moved up to street b because the midbass sub would be considered 3rd subwoofer.
what if the midbass woofer was in the kick panels, would he have to unhook it or remove the woofer to be legal?
Thank you josh

OK, since only 8" or larger is counted as a woofer, what if you have 8 6.5" mid-basses in the trunk sealed off? I have some ideas up my sleve and need answers too.

Yeah, I would like to see two 6.5" do 140. How about this weekend in Saginaw? The mighty snailshell right? Posts: 1674 | From: Michigan | Registered: Nov 2002

I remember from a post a long time ago from Wayne about the use of speakers smaller than 8 inches for SPL purposes. This was his general reply:
If you use something less than 8 inches (like 6.5s or 5.25s) for your bass reproduction, then the cone area of those speakers will be added together and then broken up into an equivalent amount of 8 inch speakers, and that number will be the basis for your classification.
So to answer Tucked65 -- with 2 6.5s you'd be in Street A or MSD if it is available in your area.
