Thanks for all who showed up to compete at the first sanctioned event in Iowa. Here are the current Iowa State records. Keep in mind that these records may be broken come July 12th at the Automotive Innovations show.
MSD-2 Dean Hazen with a 143.7 MSD-3 Jason Parkey with a 144.8 Street A Paul Wolff with a 145.6 Street B Team Sound Decision 1 with a 148.3 Super Street 1-2NW Brett Beebe with a 143.0 SS 1-2 Tom Mertz with a 149.4 SS 3-4 RJ Lanegster with a 144.6 Thank's to all who showed up to compete. We had competitors from Omaha,Nebraska, Thief River Falls, Minnisota and near Chicago, Illinois.
Also, would like to thank Brain Kissler. A dB Drag competitor that took advantage of our "free show" offer. He set this show up at a great location in a mall parking lot. The weather turned out pretty well; our sunburns prove otherwise.
Thanks again. See you in the lanes soon! Pictures on our website, shortly.

The 1x on the 12th is in Iowa but the 2x on the 13th is in IL. It is only about 10 minutes between them but you could get an Iowa State record and a class in the same weekend. We haven't worked out the details yet but are trying to give out something special to each record holder in each class at the end of the year.

too bad i was not loud enough for a record. i did place but pretty short of first place.
i know i thanked them in person but i would like to thank them again here as well.
if it was not so far i would try to hit the ones this weekend.
this finished off my road trip. started at a single/dbl usaci event in hutchinson, MN the weekend before on my way to IA to vacation with my family. so if you add in the local comp i managed a third a second and a pair of first place finishes in 8 days.
mayb there will be another in des moines so i can hook it up again.
nice meeting lilmissthumpin (Brandy) and wooferwagon from here as well as thumper_215 from soundillusions.net forum.

musthavemuzk it was very nice to met you as well. Hopefully we will see you again at some shows. I just wish that the kicker sticker would have gained me the .3 db i was hoping it would. I blame Alex and Rick.

well i am guessing that you did not see the .3db since it was on crooked and puke yellow in color.
now that i know that the drags in the midwest are cool and all i may have to put them on my schedule as well as the usaci i have been doing. only drags i have hit this year have been in Michigan and in Canada.

So let me get this straight, There is NO car in Iowa doing a 150??????? That's funny. I believe there is a Street car that is capable of being the loudest car in Iowa IF Brett and I keep on blowing sh#t up. Thomas you better run for there is a hungry rex out there. I heard it eats beans. Especially blue ones.

All I can say is that if I wasnt so busy staring at a guy with the body of a god all day that maybe things would have worked out for me. But everytime dean comes to a show i cant keep my eyes off of him. The only person I need to hold my hand is Dean. The only reason I blamed Alex and Rick is to keep my true feelings hidden but I guess they have to come out sooner or later.

Don't worry, there should be a couple of vehicles in Davenport doing over a 150 this weekend. Does the name Gumby ring a bell? Not sure who the other people will be, but I'm sure there will be more.
See you there.

Huh??? According to who?
I do plan on being there this weekend. Gumby (ss3-4) and myself (street B)will be in Davenport on Saturday, and then Carlos (street a or b?), Mike (street a), Phil (street b?), and Jeff(street a), should be meeting us in East Moline on Sunday.
I just hope that everything goes as planned this weekend. If it does, we will have a fun weekend.
C-ya
Alex
