who is using JL w7 subs in thier vehicle? any world records set with these? currently or even from last year. within the top 5 certified in thier class? include scores.

anyone who has done testing on these i am interested as to your testing and comparing. your opionions are always appreciated.


wondering if these are good for loud SPL.

jl w7s really aren't all that great for spl... they might be able to hold their own in multi sub classes like 5-8, 9+, but they will get worked in ss/ex 1-2,3-4.

you would be suprised with scores from those classes.... reason they weren't used at the time.... not enough time to make a new baffle to mount the woofers and pass the string test... that darn big surround..

SPL J. anyone using these? what scores or records? i am wondering.
i have seen some people test these are was told they are good but not all that for spl. especially for the price.

there was a guy named nazar that used them last year in the street class ... his main problem was the fact he didnt have enuf power to make them things move .... and the 12" was only a single 3 ohm voice coil didnt help with the big power ohm droppers

Last year the German Team "Fortissimo" used 2 12W7 in a VW Golf 3, powered by a Steg MSK 3000.

They did a 155.7 certified (@50 Hz) and got third at the German Championship, so that's no bad score, if you remember the world champion last year did a 156.0.
