I know this has been suggested before, but was just suggested in another post, so I thought I would create a poll to determine the interest. Maybe this is something we could use next season, if Wayne likes the idea too.
I would suggest competitors carry a log book throughout the season. Competitors would be responsible for keeping track of the book. Competitors would be required to have it at World Finals. It could contain forms that would be filled out and signed by the judge at the events competitors participated in. Judges would note the Vehicle information, such a VIN #, this would help with verification of points earned with the vehicle brought to finals. The log book could contain a rules checklist that could be reviewed by the judge, and signed at multi point events.
The log book would also serve as a record for the competitor to have for reference, maybe the competitor could add information such as frequency, and other important information.
My poll is simple. Do you like the idea, and would you keep up with the book if it were your responsibility.
Polling is not enabled in this forum. This poll is inactive.

If this is to work properly, there must be pictures of the interiors or what ever may be of concern. It is to easy to just add one piece of wood(etc.) somewhere in vehicle, and say it was there before. But awsome idea, and if pictures where taken of the vehicle with judges signiture on it there should be no argument.. Thanks, Erik Reid

I also feel this should apply to all classes, not just extreme. I assume there would be 3 separate types of books, one for each division (street, ss, extreme). It would also be nice not only to log the vehicle, but the equipment that was used. I'm sure that Wayne would love to have a copy of what equipment was used at every multipointer in the country at the end of the year to show to manufacturers. I would say that this would apply to members only as then the local competitors who do not intend on going to finals will not be required to have this.

I like the idea.. Just what happens if some one who might be a bit forgetful (me) during competitions cause they are to busy scrambling trying to find 'problems' (me) with the system and also cleans the truck and forgets to put the tools back in (me)...

I like the idea of the log book, but maybe Wayne can get a program to embed the information into the membership cards and at each event the judge can view the details of it by scanning it through a reader or something and adding more details to. I know I am pushing technology and adding more work.
