Trophy, The 1-point events are not worth just cash back. Maybe at 2x and 3x events where you could easily have 100+ in prize money then yea I would rather have cash so I can put it back in to my system. But where it takes $20 in gas, $20 entry fee and you win $47...$7?? Rather get a trophy. I go for the trophy and small cash.

Trophy for mini street classes and cash for national classes even if it is 5 bucks at least you can do something with it like buy gas or lunch. ( not implying that 5 bucs should be the ammount but)
I've been thinking about suggesting for lets say 2x events if a class has 1-4 competitors prizes be 20, 10 , and 5. 5-8 50 20 and 10 and 9 or more 100 50 and 20 for 1-3 place. I mean if you actualy think about it its per class and usualy entry fee for a double is 40 bucs so you are definately not losing out plus you would not need to waste money on trophies for classes that have no competitors. it would get competitors calling other competitors so prize money would increase. beginners would want to compete. everybody loves money. I mean these ammounts could definately grow larger but it is just a starting point lets work on getting more spectators and definately more competitors in the lanes before we do that.

here is what i am planning for prizes please tell me what you think
$25 entry fee $10 of the entry fee will go to the winner of your class(if you have 5 people in Street A the winner of street A gets $50) and 1st- 3rd in every class get a trophy

in my opinion....anything less than ATLEAST $50-$100 would be an insult considering you need to spend $3000+ for just amps to win Street class. Until this sport is recognized as a real sport and attracts real corporate sponsors that can supply real cash prizes....we might as well stick with trophies.
