I hear there is some idiot doing a 2001 Monte Carlo Brickyard Pace Car. Only 100 made!!!!!! Probably some desk type manager that won't be allowed to compete in a realistic class anyway. Probably got the guys his company sponsors to help build it too. Those guys never go to competitions, thank goodness. LOL By the way what ever you do don't click the links below especially the my car one.

I saw one of these the other day when I was out lookin for a extreme 1 car. the interior was all shot to **** but the guy said it ran like a champ. Now that I switched back to street class I might look into it haha

OK. I want to know what vehicles are good for SPL, they should have sturdy bodies, high resonant frequency, and have factory removable seats. Oh yeah, and of course, they got to be a hatch.
Ones I know of are:
Fiat Panda
Ford Festiva
Geo Metro
Honda CRX

oh my god, i can't believe no one added dodge neon to the list. [Eek!]
as long as you use common sense about choosing a vehicle for an spl project (don't go buy a trunk car with no fold down seats for street class) then what makes spl is the dedication, not the vehicle. to me, there is no "better" spl vehicle. (except pandas) [Razz]
most of the time, you see a vehicle being used over and over because one leader figured out how to make that vehicle loud and all the followers came along and did there jobs the best they could.
just use good judgement and common sense when choosing an spl car. then, use alot of dedication, money, blood, sweat and tears. you can't go wrong. [Smile]

I second that. I will be attempting to build a different SS1-2 car. Not a mini truck. Just to try to be different. Against the odds is good. Unfortunatly for me it NEVER works! haha
