OK. I want to know what vehicles are good for SPL, they should have sturdy bodies, high resonant frequency, and have factory removable seats. Oh yeah, and of course, they got to be a hatch.

Ones I know of are:
Fiat Panda
Ford Festiva
Geo Metro
Honda CRX

Add on some others to this list, and we can point out the good things about them, post the res. freq. if you know it. (for a street A/B vehicle)

astrovan, caravan, anything 4 door for ss3-4 or 1-2, crx for street, doesn't do all that well above street classes. single cab trucks for ss, extracab trucks for street...

I have been waiting to see a Mini-Cooper in the lanes. They are sweet. Also the Aspire, I think it is a Ford car. Older hatchback mustangs were loud once.

I want to see someone use a 93 Cobra R Mustang in the street classes!!! They came with no back seats (meant for racing) and it's a hatchback!!!! the problem is that ford only made about 100 of them....they'd probably be a bit pricey. Another pricey car would a porsche 911. some of the special models (RS America) came with out back seats. Those cars could be really loud!!!!

I think that a well overlooked vehicle is a pontiac sunfire 95ish in 1996 I had a customer with 2 blue thunder 12's and a mtx 2160 (80x2) firing foreward ( BTW this is one of the only vehicles that I found that is actualy louder facing foreward) hitting 146's on multiple audiocontrol meters I know alot has changed but I still believe that this is an overlooked street contender.

i believe that its a chevy aspire. Must everyone forget that you could just remove rear seats? sheesh.

Tucked, is this going to be your first car as a daily driver? Might want maybe go towards 70% SPL and 30% the car you want. If its just a comp car then go right ahead, but you need to buy what you want to drive! Comps only come around so often, and you drive the damn thing all day.

P.S. A car w/ a backseat can fit more girls.

You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the US of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the 3 most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dlck ', and 'Colon'.

I have a daily driver, my 1965 Impala, (duh, that would explain the name) but because of what it is, I don't want to mangle it too badly just for bass.

I want a small car that is cheap, and somewhat easy to work on. If I have to wall a van or SUV, I will. I want to hit 150 on the new mics. I'm not sure when, but eventually I want to.

I have never seen anyone mention a Colt Vista 4-door hatchback. I believe they were made this way in the late 80's. A friend of mine had one and their are two rows or removable seats in the back and one of which is behind the back doors. [Wink] [Big Grin]

I've looked at RX7s if you are going to try one you need REALLY shallow subs. Like 6 inches deep. I think the tallest legal box you could get in one is like 10 inches. Ford Aspires SUCK AS$. The back seat must be functional. There's no room. Loudest I've ever seen one do is a 150 on OLD mics. I tried one for like 3 months. I'de say for street a Vette. They are getting cheaper. I think the 2nd gen RX-7 is a better choice. It has the deepest trunk of all the RX-7s.
