Wayne, would this work? Offer a lifetime membership for $100 to $150. You would definitely be able identify the serious dB Dragracers. On the stats page, change the Member Since, to Member Status. “LIFETIME MEMBER” would sure look good in there. If it is feasible, it could also be offered to the Retailers and Manufacturers. Just a random thought. If this has been brought up before, just disregard as thoughts of a Forum newcomer. If not, What do you think?

If Wayne would add the ability to have lifetime memberships, I don't see how this would be a waste. It might simplify accounting for Wayne on the people who would want to do this. I would love to pay $100-$150 for a lifetime competitor membership.

I like the idea of a lifetime membership option. To even incite the founder of this organization to consider this option, I would be willing to pay for membership status, without the yearly updates included in the cost (CD releases, hard-copy of rules, etc.). With the option to having not to keep renewing a membership on a yearly basis, it would assist me in assuring that my status with dBDRA does not change. It would be a bonus if lifetime members could receive discounts of yearly updated materials, but it does not neccessarily need to be included in the price of the lifetime membership.

I think you are missing the point. The idea is to ADD a lifetime membership option so that the ones of us who would like to do it could do so.

lets see this is my fifth time to buy a membership . so that is at least 150 bux i have spent just in membership fees. a lifetime thing would be no big deal.

Since I have never recieve an invite to finals, and probably never will, I have little say in this idea. But (yes, there is a but)...If a competitor can spend the money neccesary to be granted an invite to finals, then the cost of a 1 year membership should not be a factor in the equation.
PS. Hold on, while I pull my foot out of my mouth. Thank you.
