Basically I want more events around my area. I have about 8 shops within a 30 mile radius, and none of them hold shows. What should I say to them, or ask them? Is there a packet of info, or what? Give me a little direction please. Thank you.

Ask them if they've ever been interested in having a competition or event at their store.
Tell them how exciting dB Drag Racing is if they don't already know. Tell them what you've told us, that you want to compete, and there is no events in your area for you and your friends to compete in. If there is alot of people in the area interested, then their more apt to do so.
Let them know how new competitors try to better their systems between events. If competitors better their systems, then that increases sales.
Mention how much attraction their store gets when they hold an event. Their event is posted on the dB Drag Racing website, along with being listed in publications such as AS&S and CA.
Have them contact the dBDRA or a local promoter such as myself. Most of the time, promoters can help make the event more benificial for the retailer.

Those are some good points, I'll do everything I can, as I relly love DBdrag but hardly ever have shows around here, and there relly isnt a logical explanation as to why since there are so many shops. Anyways, is there not some form of a packet of material I could offer them or a phone # they can call etc. All info will help. Thanks a ton,
Eric

your best bet is to approach the shop that you buy your stuff from. Do you have one place in particular out of those 8 that you purchase your equipment from? If you do, they would be your best bet to approach about having a show.
