Well, it's not definite, but my shop in Rensselaer is trying to host one sometime this summer, more than likely mid to late summer. I can keep you updated if you just send me an email from time to time checking up. scawby@midwaynet.net

Rensselaer, IN is about half way between Indy and Chicago on interstate 65. Real easy to get to and I think we can draw in a good number of locals that are wanting to just have fun and also the more serious competitors from IL, MI, and maybe OH. About my Lincoln...I have 8 12's, 3 batts, and two amps in there for just cruising around town and having fun with. Last July is when I started trailering my car to shows. The van isn't loud yet...But hopefully soon it will be!

Dave, what did Gregg say last time you were in here? Does it sound like he wants to do it? God knows I'd love to. I've only been to one show a long time ago down at Ovation in Lafayette, and it wasn't anything compared to the stories I've heard on all these forums and from what you've told me. I'd love to put on a show here and bring in some big dogs. Maybe that'll put a jump on Gregg and I doing something with our truck. It's just a pup right now, I want it loud. Speaking of, have you ever had any ideas about that truck Dave?

Wow, I thought I was the only one in the Fort Wayne area in this forum. Good to know others exist!!! I live like 30 minutes north of Ft. Wayne.
I say all those in here from my area should get together, find some sponsors and hold our own damn db drag (I have heard it is only like $8,000 to hold a comp). Really makes me mad, the 2nd largest city in the state and ZERO comps Posts: 436 | From: Hollow Depths of Hell | Registered: Sep 2002

Drakkule, I see you are from Auburn, I live in Garrett!! Do you have a set of mics and stuff, or how did you hold a comp?
To you and Birt (and I have noticed before there is a TL that lives in Ft. Wayne also):
We seriously should try to get together to hold comp. There weren't any around here last year that I knew of and none on the schedule for this year. It wouldn't really be that hard to come up with the place or the money. Heck, we could use the Kruse auction park for the site, more than enough room. And jhellemn was kind enough to offer his assistance!!

I have a set of mics avalible to me, i will set some things up if people are interested.By the way i held some shows last season in Angola, hopefully things will go smoother this year.
You held your shows in Angola @ Mr. Tunes didn't ya. If so then I went to one. It was a little unorganized (originally the mics were switched up in the lanes), no offense though. Really cool you put forth the effort to hold a show.
Like I said before, I would like a lot more comps around here, And I am willing to help in any way I can to acheive it

We don't have any shows listed right now. We are still planning it all out and looking at the costs of having shows. I'll make sure to let ya know when we do have shows listed.

I If we could set up a comp with a high enough attendance in a big enough area (Mr. Tunes has a small parking lot), I am friends with a band that I could talk to, see if they would perform live afterwards. To all in my area, they are Sonoras (i think that is how it is spelled) if you have ever heard of them. They are still pretty small, but I like their sound (kinda a TOOL sound instrumental wise, vocals are a lot different though). Try to increase attendance with the extra "perk" of live music, plus help my friends band out with multi-state attendance.
I personally would prefer a show in the Ft. Wayne, Auburn area (As I have mentioned many times, I can help raise sponsers and set up the show. I work at a bank, so I know a lot of business owners with lots of money ) Angola would work also though, just need more space (hopefully if things go well).
Plus, I always thought it would be cool to do a car show/sound-off with a live performance afterwards. The two just seem like they would naturally go together.
