I would actually like to see the Europeans come here and I do believe some competitors from overseas did try to get there cars here last year but they were held in customs.

Too bad for their luck.

But I really wish we could have an actual World Finals so we can actually find out who the loudest guy in the World is.........

Right now Michael Hughes is the loudest in the world as far as I am concerned......

But without having all the big names from all over the world at one location how can we find out who actually is the loudest in the World.

I posted this in reference to Kims post and I would really like to see a World Finals with more than just the North Americans.

My opinion...

I doubt you will see many Europeans competing at world finals next year, it's just too expensive. But Big Oki have said that he will try to be at world finals next year.

Yes yes, I will "TRY" but I cant Promise.
But if everything works, Team BS and the Ü2
start another Try to participate.
Costs just for shipping are about $11 000 for
a container with two cars in it.
Another $10-12 000 are the costs for 10 people.
(Hotel, rented cars, food, (alcohol)but not for me (c; )

So the $150 entry fee isnt the real problem (c;

I will try my hardest to get my van to the Euro-finals next year. I REALLY wanted to go this year but didnt think about it until it was too late.
Maybe i can hang out with TheBigOki to help cut the costs of the trip.

Hehe Mike, u answered faster as I edit my post !
No Alcohol for me , hehe...

But U must think of one thing Mike:
Next years World Finals are in Nov 2. and 3.
And the Euro Finals maybe sometimes in October. (Or later)
U must calculate 1 month (!!) for the trip
with the ship. So that maybe means, that
u just participate at one Show.
I formyself decided, if it will be possible
for me to go to ÜSA again, just compete there.
This is no German and European Finals for me.

U must decide what is better for u, and I think
ÜSA will be the choice...

Üüüühh!!!

Make sure you get qualified for the now 4x European finals. You will need 150 European points (difficult to get as we only have single point events ) And you also need a European certified score

Dont forget the European dbdrag membership just the same as your membership, but actually very little use over here

Only kidding, good luck if you can make it.

I agree with firestarter to get 150 euro points you must attend every soundoff in the UK and WIN every single one & you may just qualify. As for a certified score, well that depends on if the Euro Finals are after the UK Finals (which there weren't in 2001)

Option B is get a quantum leap accelarator & time travel

I believe we can arrange it so that the US World Finals and European Finals are not very near each other. Like this year, it's better to have Eurofinals later. Judges needs to go over there to see what... sorry, how rules are read in the World Finals and all
And especially to give opportunity to compete in both if necessary!

We haven't planned much yet, only talk has been that Belgium would be nice place to have Eurofinals next year.

No, please Jani, dont make the Euros that late again, October latest. If it had been any later, We would have been in VERY big trouble with the weather etc.

Yes fire I thought of that, can't be any later than it was, but must have at least few weeks from world finals (?). And if held for example in belgium, it is little more in south, although if I remember right the guys from there said it was pretty bad weather over there at that time too. We were lucky it was that good in Sweden, when we left Finland it was a worst snow storm of the year

If you ask me, Euro finals should be near the
end of September (21.+22.sep).
Then the cars have time to make the trip over
the sea, to be right for the world finals.
So Mike must ship his car on august 20. or so.
Hm, I don´t know where in Belgium the finals will be.
But Mike, I can make you the offer, to stay
at my home for a week or so, until the Euros
are. We have a lot of Events this year in Germany
maybe you can have one or two with your car.
Travelling distance will be about max 200 miles
each way.
To Belgium maybe 300 miles one way.
Oh, and u need a trailer for your car, oh boy,
u must calculate a few bucks for this trip.
A rough estimation, if u ask me, is about
$10 000 to $14 000, for you and your car. And for every person
must add about, hm $1000 minimum.
Staying at my home is for free, when I can have
my daliy burp in your "Yellow Hell" hehehehe...
And expect a lot of paperwork.
BTW, Gas here is about 92 eurocent per liter
($3,2/Gallon)

I think that must be all...

Üüüühh!!!
