Get with your local Stereo shops and encourage them to host events. It's the only way.

Why don't you buy a meter and throw some shows yourself. You will probably make your money back if you have enough people at a few shows. (Money for the membership, not the meter) Ian Ashton and his dad threw a show a few weeks ago in Michigan...In the snow!

Not necessarily a shop. Just an authorized Db Drag Retail member. Usually most legitimate businesses with a Tax ID number, etc., can purchase a retail membership. A retail membership is only 100 dollars so pretty small cheese in the big picture. I know of only one instance when a non-stereo shop has purchased a retail membership and held a show and that is Bob Ashton up in Michigan. I know he owns a rental business of sorts and recently held a show in the snow. Do some checking and see what you can come up with.

I was stationed in Honolulu Hawaii, and there was a show about every other month. I know I use to compete, but there is only a couple of rules. One of the rules is you can't rev your engine and you competed by cone area. If not enough people competed, they would make you compete against the Pros. I had a jeep Cherokee with 4 Kicker comps, and hit 148dbs. I would win my catagory every event (that's to show how sorry the compitition was). Since it was pretty much the same people they wouldn't even compete if I was there. So I had to go against the pros. I lost to a truck with 24 tens, a hummer with twelve 12s. Other than that I would only win little things, like trophies, T-Shirts, and stereo accesories. They need help in Hawaii, of coase that was in 1996-1999. Hopefully they got better.

Look for MORE shows in the very near future from us!

I agree, host your own show. I do. I pay the $100 membership fee for shop that will host it. I buy all the trophies and rent the mic. I buy most of the giveaways. It all adds up, but I make it all back on the show so it is worth it.
